Methodology
1. VapeGlobe sought to discover the most popular celebrity fragrances in 2024.
2. A seed list of the most popular celebrity perfumes was compiled through a variety of reputable articles.
3. Following, the social media platform, Instagram, was utilised to collect data on the amount of hashtags for each of the fragrances, by using search variations, such as ‘#rihannareblfleur’, ‘#cloudbyarianagrande’ and ‘#wonderstruckperfume’, in order to obtain accurate results.
4. Search analytics tool, Ahrefs, was then used to collect data on the number of average global monthly searches for each of the perfumes, by using various keyword search variations, such as “white diamonds by elizabeth taylor”, “lady gaga fame perfume” and “scent from above dolly parton”, in order to ensure accurate results were being obtained.
5. Once all data was collated, a percentrank formula was used to calculate a final score out of 10 for each celebrity fragrance.
6. Finally, all perfumes were ranked in descending order, based on their final score to reveal the ones most popular in 2024.
